Brad Mehldau at the El Rey Theater
June 8th, 2008:
Pianist Brad Mehldau, bassist Larry Grenadier and drummer Jeff Ballad will perform at the El Rey Theater in Hollywood as part of a tour supporting their new release Live. This is the third album the Trio has recorded live at New York’s Village Vanguard; it comprises five Mehldau originals and interpretations of compositions by Jimmy Heath, John Coltrane, Ray Noble, Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell and Noel Gallagher of Oasis, among others.
