British singer/songwriter Julia Fordham has been critically and commercially successful for the last decade with her brand of lush, jazz-influenced pop music, including hits such as Happy Ever After and Manhattan Skyline.

Her new jazz album, China Blue, seems like the logical next step. Fordham’s expressive phrasing and impressive range are showcased on nine original compositions and an interpretation of Michael McDonald’s “I Keep Forgettin’.” On October 22, she will perform at Catalina Bar and Grill in Hollywood. The show begins at 8:15 and reservations are highly recommended.
