Yoshi’s Jazz Club & Restaurat: See what San Francisco has to offer
Starting at the location in Oakland in 1973, Yoshi’s Japanese Restaurant opened to the Bay Area to offer a unique taste of Japanese cuisine. Upon suggestion, they began to introduce live music to their place, with the hope of enticing more customers.
Over the last 30 years, Yoshi’s has built itself into one of the world’s most respected jazz venues and won a reputation as the Bay Area’s premier location for people who were looking for great food and the best jazz. Yoshi’s has hosted legendary jazz greats such as Betty Carter, Max Roach, Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Williams, Diana Krall, Branford Marsalis, McCoy Tyner, Harry Connick Jr. and Oscar Peterson among hundreds of others.
While the San Francisco location thrives, the original location in Oakland still remains and also boasts great Japanese cuisine and the finest jazz around. So, if you are in the Bay Area, that means you have two great locations to choose from.
