Press Release: ASCAP Foundation honors artist Johnny Rodgers at 13th annual awards ceremony
The ASCAP Foundation honored singer/songwriter/recording artist Johnny Rodgers with the Jamie deRoy & friends award for outstanding work, dedication and craftsmanship as a songwriter. The accolade was presented during the Foundation’s 13th Annual Awards Ceremony tonight at the Allen Room, Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, in New York City.
The invitation-only event, hosted by ASCAP Foundation President Marilyn Bergman, also honored vocalist/recording star/songwriter Judy Collins with The ASCAP Foundation Champion Award for music in the service of vital causes dedicated to a better world. The foundation also recognized a wide variety of Scholarship and Award recipients, all of whom benefit from programs of The ASCAP Foundation.
