Get Ready For The LA Modern Jazz Series At The Whitefire Theater

On March 5, a new concert series presenting world-class Los Angeles jazz artists will be launched at the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks. The LA Modern Jazz Series is the brainchild of pianist, vocalist and composer Adrianne Duncan, who wanted to create an accessible concert venue for cutting-edge local jazz artists. Vibraphonist Nick Mancini opens the series with his incisive originals and innovative arrangements on Thursday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m. Pianist Otmaro Ruiz, bassist Dan Lutz, drummer Dan Schnelle, flute and sax player Katisse Buckingham and clarinetist John Tegmeyer round out the lineup.
