On a mission to keep beautiful music and jazz classics alive, pianist Beverly Ritz has released a new album of West Coast Cool and impressionistic piano jazz, Lacey Mae. With a stirring rendition of Freddie Hubbard’s “Little Sunflower,” a kaleidoscopic approach to John Coltrane’s “Naima,” three hauntingly lovely compositions by Ms. Ritz, and glowing liner notes by renowned jazz critic Scott Yanow, the soothing 2008 disc is finding audiences all over the world.


Now “Lacey Mae” is part of the music library at KMHD, the Pacific Northwest’s #1 Jazz Radio Station. Also, the album has been added to the library of KKJZ, “America’s Jazz & Blues Station” in Long Beach, CA. And Ritz’s “Little Sunflower” can be heard on Sirius Satellite radio’s Cruisin’ Jazz Station, WPMJ. And add airplay in England, Mexico, South Korea, and India to the list!
