Playboy Jazz in Warner Park returns to Woodland Hills, Sunday, June 7th from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm. The free concert will be held at the Lou Bredlow Pavilion in Warner Park, located at 5800 Topanga Canyon Boulevard.

The concert, which annually attracts thousands of fans, will feature three artists, including vocalist Diane Schuur; drummer Ed Shaughnessy; and Latin jazz violinist Susie Hansen and her band. The El Camino High School Jazz Band under the direction of Kevin Glaser will open the show. The event is sponsored by the Playboy Jazz Festival as part of their free community concert series held in conjunction with the upcoming 31st annual Playboy Jazz Festival, set for June 13th and 14th at the world-renowned Hollywood Bowl.

About The Venue:

Amidst the tall steel and glass of Warner Center there is an oasis, a green area that welcomes family picnics and outdoor concerts. Warner Park offers a little grass to put beneath your feet in the middle of the big, bad city. There are picnic tables available, enough so that you can generally expect to find one open.

The 20-acre expanse was donated to the city in 1967 by the Harry Warner family and has become a San Fernando Valley landmark. During the summer months, the park’s Lou Bredlow Pavilion plays host to a series of outdoor concerts on Sunday afternoons. These shows have been staged by the Valley Cultural Center since 1976.
