The Iridium Jazz Club in New York has announced their list of featured performers for month of November. In particular, they would like to draw your attention to three great artists: guitarists Steve Miller, Stanley Jordan, and Mike Stern. These featured artists will be playing alongside the ever popular Les Paul Trio, which includes Lou Pallo (guitar), John Colianni (piano), and Nicki Parrott (bass).

Join the gang at the Iridium Jazz Club every Monday night to get a glimpse of these notable performers. Sets are at 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm. Read their descriptions below.

Monday, Nov. 9th

Steve Miller
Steve Miller is one of the most famous blues-rock guitarists to emerge from the 1960s. From his early days in San Francisco to his top-selling pop/rock hits of the ’70s and early ’80s “The Joker,” “Fly Like an Eagle,” “Rock’n Me,” and “Abracadabra.

Born in Milwaukee, Wi. in 1943 Steve was befriended by guitar pioneer Les Paul who was a frequent visitor to the Miller household and is considered Les’s ‘Godson’. A portion of the door proceeds for this show will benefit the Les Paul Foundation dedicated to keeping his legacy alive for future generations.

Stanley Jordan
From the moment he made his debut in 1985 with the gold-selling Grammy nominated album Magic Touch, guitar virtuoso Stanley Jordan has proven himself as a forward thinking innovator. With his nimbly executed “touch” or “tap” technique, he ushered a dazzling and spellbinding new sound into the world of progressive instrumental music. His latest album, State of Nature, was release in 2008 through Mack Avenue.

Mike Stern
In a career that spans three decades and a discography that includes more than a dozen eclectic and innovative recordings, five-time Grammy nominee Mike Stern has established himself as one of the premier jazz and jazz-fusion guitarists and composers of his generation.
